Then delete the entire Hac Line up from the game, because they will be Dinosaurs compared to the new Battlecruisers.
Removing the Teir System and giving an extra low slot and replacing the cap bonus with a DPS Bonus will make the Prophecy just as effective as the Drake. The Hurricane doesn't need a buff because it is not a fleet ship and rocks as the best small gang BC in the game. As for Gallente, who knows, they will never reach Drake Range and need a ton of work.

Well look at the Cerb in comparison to the Drake. A buffed Harbinger would easily replace the Zealot if it could Tank and deal Dmg at that range. The Cane is already a heavy Dmg Dealer and great Kiter, buff that and the Vaga is in the Dust. The Myrmidon is already a solid Tank and deals heavy DPS, buff that and bye bye Ishtar.
Remember how expensive HAC's are, if you can get that kind of coverage for every race then HAC's will look way less appealing. Especially since the other BC's do a ton of things better then the Drake.

Edited by: Alara IonStorm on 14/12/2010 01:01:11 I honestly think it is the weapons. The tank is not so perfect next to the fact that the Drake does not loose DPS over Range while at similar range guns start to get pitiful.
T2 Long Range Ammo helps but when is the last time you said I think I will load Radio, that will give me the Range or DPS I need. Long Range non T2 Ammo is horrible and regular T2 Long Range is not near the DPS of Heavies while missiles deal the same DPS every hit.
Another issue is you can not mix missiles and long range guns in fleets because of the delay. It is either missiles or guns take your pick. It is hard to make combined fleets so people go missiles because they do not loose Dmg. There is only a few good missile ships as well.
I do not think there is an easy answer. Nerf Drake and go back to Amarr HAC's, Battlecruisers, Battleships and Capitals in fleets and Minmatar in small gangs. Keep it the way it is and have Drakes the only Caldari ship on the Field. Buff Hybrids and ignore missiles and missile warefare except the Drake dies out. There is not an easy solution to this and nothing anyone has proposed has a nice outcome so far in any thread. No one is winning the battle to make the game fun no matter what race you trained.

The only thing I am wondering is how she tanks here Cane to be so very horrible. I mean 35k EHP? 57000EHP at the least and this is for a ship that is meant to run down smaller ships and muder them, not snipe. It still pulls 280 Gun DPS at maximum, 320 at 35km and 420 at 17km with a smaller sig and higher speed.
